Juniors Converge on Lennox Head
One of Australias iconic junior surfing events, the Skullcandy Oz Grom Open presented by Vissla, kicks off on Friday with an international field and a great day-one swell forecast.
The six-day event will crown male and female champions across three divisions 12s, 14s and 16s and provides a window into the future champions of surfing.
Competitors from Europe, the USA, Japan, New Zealand and Australia will converge on the tiny town of Lennox Head, in northern New South Wales, for the six-day event.
Live scoring of the event is available on http://www.skullcandyozgromopen.com.au, while all finals will be webcast live on the website.
The sand banks at Lennox Head have been amazing this year and with a three to four-foot swell forecast for the opening day of the event it is looking like it will be an epic opening day of competition.
This years event will also feature a free screening of Vissla's Pedros Bay film on Sunday evening at the competition site.
